Available in the UK through, liquid handling specialists Michael Smith Engineers, the patented, compact design of the I-Drive pump includes a brushless DC motor with no moving parts and an electronic controller. These drives, when combined with Micropump pump heads, deliver smooth pulseless flows up to 5 lit/min at maximum differential pressures up to 5.6 bar.
Thanks to it's variable speed operation and outstanding chemical capability, the I-Drive pump offers optimum design flexibility for a wide range of OEM liquids handling applications. The unit features Neodymium magnets to increase motor torque capability which reduce total unit size, while innovative surface mount technology improves reliability.
The variable speed electronic controller offers a 0-5 VDC input signal, 4-20mA current loop, or a manually controlled drive with thermal and overload protection. Also, a closed loop speed control allows for quick and easy setting of speed. The simplicity of the built-in speed control and tachometer output enables easy integration into PLC or PC controlled machines or end user installations.
The electromagnetic drive and static seals keep the pumped fluid securely inside the pump and potential external contaminants out, whilst providing smooth, accurate fluid delivery. The I-Drive is available with an extensive range of wetted material options to ensure compatibility with a wide range of chemicals, it is CE, LVD and EMC approved and the enclosure is IP55 rated.
