DICKOW PUMP MODEL NCL i h 125/250 FOR PUMPING RAW WATER

Centrifugal pump for cool water recirculation

A glimpse of Dickow centrifugal pumps installed at a World-Class Science Facility

It’s always satisfying to showcase a real-world installation - especially when the application is as fascinating as this one. While we’re usually dealing with hazardous or corrosive liquids, this project involved something much simpler: plain old H₂O.

What makes it special is where the pumps are being used.

These pumps are part of the cooling water recirculation system at the UK’s national synchrotron light source facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire. In an environment dedicated to cutting-edge scientific research, the quality and reliability of every component is critical.

That’s why we selected NCL i h 125/250 series mechanically sealed centrifugal pumps from Dickow Pumpen for the job. Long-coupled to 90 kW, 2-pole, variable-speed WEG motors, they deliver approximately 368 m³/hr (102.2 l/s) against a 60-meter head - a robust and reliable solution for this demanding environment.

Dickow mechanically sealed centrifugal pump model NCL i h 125/250 with 226 mm impeller, DN150 x DN125 PN16 flanges and inducer long coupled to 90 kW, 2 pole, 400 volt, 3 phase, 50 Hz IE4 IP55 motor with thermistors on baseplate.
