Heavy duty magnet-drive pumps for harsh chemicals

The problem is you need to pump a variety of harsh chemicals. Hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, polyaluminium chloride, sodium hydroxide to name but a few. To add to the problem, you need more than one or two pumps, you need twenty-five!

The solution, for those who know these things, is simple. The Ultrachem UC series heavy duty mag-drive pumps from Finish Thompson. The UC series is designed to handle the most challenging chemistries. The powerful neodymium inner magnets are completely encased in ETFE for ultimate corrosion protection. The magnetic drive system means leak-free operation and no mechanical seals to service. All the pumps follow a standard design which coupled with universality of some parts reduces maintenance costs.

The pumps supplied were in five sizes, all ETFE lined ductile iron casing close coupled to WEG 2 pole motors. Delivering 2- 50 m³/hr at up to 9 bar differential pressure. All pumps were assembled in our workshop and delivered within less than two months.

The pump will achieve the required duty point when run at ~ 2710 rpm. This pump has been sized to run at this lower speed to assist with solids handling.
