FINISH THOMPSON SP SERIES PUMP MODEL SP10P-E-FF-4-8P-84 FOR PUMPING SODIUM HYDROXIDE (NaOH)
Centrifugal pump for chemical transfer

Reliable Pump Solution for Transfer of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH)

When it comes to the most common chemicals that we supply pumps for, Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) is undoubtedly near the top of the list. While we regularly supply solutions for more hazardous substances, NaOH still demands careful handling.

Our pump series of choice for NaOH applications is Finish Thompson’s DB-series of plastic seal-less centrifugal pumps. In this case however, the customer required a self-priming solution, so we selected from Finish Thompson’s SP series, capable of suction lifts of up to 7.6 metres (SG = 1).

With its polypropylene casing offering excellent corrosion resistance to NaOH and a seal-less mag-drive design that minimises the risk of leaks and contamination, the SP10P was the perfect fit for this job. The unit pictured with 0.75 kW, 2900 rpm motor delivers a flow rate of approximately 2,000 LPH.

Finish Thompson SP series model SP10P-E-FF-4-8P-84 complete with a 0.75 kW 2 pole 400 volt 3 phase 50 Hertz IP55 IE3 motor.
