This recent selection of Finish Thompson pumps is destined for installation in an industrial gas cleaning system, commonly known as a wet scrubber. These systems require robust equipment capable of handling aggressive chemicals like sodium hydroxide and sodium chloride, both in their initial form and after exposure to flue gases - when they may become more concentrated or chemically complex. For the main scrubber recirculation units, we specified seal-less magnetically coupled centrifugal pumps from the Finish Thompson Ultrachem range - a reliable solution for challenging environments. With ETFE-lined ductile iron casings, and close coupled to 37 kW 2-pole motors, these units deliver an impressive 150 m³/hr at 40 m head. No chemical installation feels complete without a trusted model from the Finish Thompson DB series. In this project, two DB15P polypropylene mag-drive centrifugal pumps were selected for NaOH transfer, paired with 3 kW 2-pole motors to deliver 11 m³/hr at 20m head. This project is just one example of the expertise we bring to the alternative energy, chemical, and industrial sectors.
