Michael Smith Engineers response to
Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak


We are closely monitoring and adhering to government advice regarding the developing Covid-19 outbreak. The health of our customers and staff is our top priority.

Our staff are aware of the current government advice, and I am pleased to report that no Michael Smith Engineers employees or members of their families have tested positive for the virus. We are undertaking additional practices to ensure that our premises adhere to high cleanliness standards, and all of our staff have undergone additional hand hygiene training.

Customer site visits will be for emergency assistance only, we continue to offer technical support by telephone and email for all other requirements.

We are in daily contact with our suppliers to ensure that our supply chain remains open and as close to normal as possible. We will endeavour to maintain existing delivery times, however this may not be possible. We will inform customers with outstanding orders of any changes to delivery dates as soon as we can.

Although our offices and workshops remain open for business, we are currently running on reduced staffing levels in our offices to help observe social distancing advice. This may result in a slightly slower response than you have come to expect from us, so please bear with us as we will address your queries as quickly as we can. Please note, all staff can still be contacted by email.

We are confident that with correct action and practices now, we can minimise the damaging effects of the Covid-19 outbreak for health and business.
