Overview
The Ampco ZP1 is a robust circumferential piston positive displacement pump designed for the reliable transfer of both low- and high-viscosity fluids. Its combination of durable construction, tight internal clearances and multiple seal options makes it suitable for demanding applications across the food, beverage, chemical and process industries.
The ZP1 incorporates a 304 stainless steel gearcase, 17-4 PH stainless steel shafts and non-galling Alloy 88 rotors, providing a durable pump construction designed for long service life. Four-way mounting allows the pump to be configured to suit different installation requirements, while a range of seal arrangements enables the ZP1 to be matched to the application.
With models available for flows up to 102 m³/hr, differential pressures up to 13.8 bar and viscosities up to 1,000,000 cP, the ZP1 can handle a wide range of challenging pumping duties. It is particularly well suited to applications involving viscous, shear-sensitive or difficult-to-pump products.
Typical applications
The Ampco ZP1 is suitable for a wide range of applications including food and beverage processing, dairy products, confectionery, chemical processing and general industrial fluid transfer. Its positive displacement operating principle makes it particularly useful where consistent flow is required or where centrifugal pumps are unsuitable because of high product viscosity.
